As, the Director of the Rehabilitation dept, I take pride in the care that our patients receive from their therapists. Every pt is special and unique with goals and aspirations that are just as unique as they are. In the rehabilitation department, therapists work towards identifying pt’s goals and helping them to achieve them.
In a recent case, we had a young lady in her 40’s who wanted to gain independence in her mobility and ambulation so she could return to the community after several years of being institutionalized ;something that had appeared elusive to her until she received therapy and that reality changed. These are just some of the words she wrote in a letter to describe her experience with her therapist and the care she received while at the grove. “what I admired most about my therapist was his individual approach with his patients. My therapist set attainable goals that were appropriate to the individual. As each goal was achieved, my therapist made necessary adjustments based on my progress”. She went on to say;”My therapist was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, kind caring and very optimistic about me attaining my goals. After a therapy session, I felt a sense of renewal and accomplishment. I feel I accomplished what I set out to do”
This pt achieved her goals and will be discharged to the community. At the Grove, nothing makes us happier than helping a person become as independent as possible so they can move on and return to the life they know. .Their personal triumph is our personal triumph.

Sincerely, Clara Milgam
Director of Rehabilitation.
