Akira is six years old, has earned the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Award, and is a registered USA Therapy Animal. Akira’s favorite part of her role is being the reason someone smiles - even those residents who don’t always feel like chatting. She loves to go hiking and kayaking with her Mom, chasing her cat sisters, and unlimited snuggles. The Grove is full of people who need love, and she has plenty to give.
